Well here we are. Looks like I'm in pretty good company. I found this little pickup in a junk yard in 1994 and I've been working on it ever since. I put a '65 Corvair engine in it and drove for 10 years. Then parked it beside an Elm tree and did the conversion. This is my fourth conversion using the Chevy S/B. This one's a keeper. There isn't much that's store-bought except the paint. I like to scrounge in junk yards, more so since I reired a few years ago. It's not pretty (chrome and all) but it works and it's safe. I've stuffed the versatile Chevy engine in several other cars. '56 Austin Healy, '46 Chevy Pick up and '74 Jaguar XJ12. The last one was using a kit. I guess I'm a "shade tree mechinac". I guess a little bit about me is in order. I grew up in So. Cal. Where hot rodding started. That should be enough for now.
Howdy from the West Coast of Florida better known as God's Waiting Room. Cool truck really don't see that many in these parts anymore. Hope you enjoy this place and don't forget to turn the lights off when you leave.
