My car was out of the cl*** a long time ago but it does seem like a lot of rules. Good luck! BTW I like running aginst the sbc's. Some of the best races even when I lose.
Rule out the early smallblocks so your MEL can win Priceless. Thanks Tim for the heads up. I had not seen this thread for a couple years. Still have a ton of parts but as you can see my sig I am selling the stuff so I can make room for teh Salt car that is going together. No bites so far so maybe I will build the 283 based FED down the line?
only problem is a 4.5 per cubic inch rule is i weigh 1590 wet me in it, divide that by 398 c.i. will be 3.99, which is jr fuel legal ala SWJFA rules, if i was to take my c.i. and multiply by 4.5, yikes, that puts me at 1790 lbs i would have to add 200 pounds to my car, impossible, id say allow the sbc, limit to 400 ci for all makes of eng, minimum of 3.5 pounds per c.i. wheel base limit of 180 inch and pair cars by the weight to c.i. ratio, that way the better motor wins, or driver, run what you brung, heads up, .400 pro tree, and just use similar rules as the swjfa, they work for them, well thats my two cents...
i was just thinking out-loud it was an example what ever comes of this wouldn't affect me as I live too far away. it was just an idea to give the other motors a running start was to handicap the sbc. I would like something to come out of this exercise.
