The instruction said that the the stock mounting holes MAY need to be enlarged, and the tank moved slightly forward. I may grab the tank and see.

The new center crossmember is installed, and the frame is fully painted.

The front end is mostly done.

Chassis Engineering dropped axle, dropped spring, split wishbone....

It's from Chassis Engineering, but the shocks do say Pete and Jakes on them.

  18. WOW! Great progress. Great inspiration for mine.

  19. Those CE shock mounts tend to crack at the bottom. A gussett where it wraps around the bottom of the frame works well.

Also, if that is the CE lowering spring, it will sit pretty high in the front (in my opinion). I switched to a posies to get it down more.

One more thing, is that the CE 47" axle? That's what I used. Plenty of turning room.

  21. You could probably take some leaves out of that CE spring. They're pretty stout. I just happened upon a Posies spring a friend gave me that just so happened to be for the narrowed axle. If that didn't happen I would've taken a couple leaves out of the CE spring.

  22. I see that you got the deep 6-cyl front crossmember switched out. I found a nice shallow one for mine.
How did bolting it in work out, versus welding? Just curious, as that probably will be my route.

The bolts are larger than the original rivets, it should work fine.
I still might weld along the top, dunno.

Yes, with black fenders and running boards.

    To match the RPU...

  27. I like that wheel color! Thought that you went black?
I was going to use Ford tractor light grey on my 32 wheels, but the darker MF grey is nice.
    Thanks for the visual.

My Bronco nine inch came out of a junk yard, and wouldn't even turn over completely.
I sent the center section to a friend and he cleaned up the ring and pinion and installed
    new bearings throughout.

Feels nice and smooth now, and it's a 3.50 traction loc to boot.
