Well I got moved, and the town held a ribbon cutting for Me and My family yesterday, I would like to thank Hip, Greaser Frank, Rock Shop Dave, and Bob Baily for attending. I will be having a car show/ party soon and will be inviting all hamb members to come over and join us, I'm going to find out if I can block the street off or use the side street and what not like that , I will post the date when I get one. Hip got the info a little wrong My station is the oldest Texaco left, it was built in 1936 and has a 3 bedroom house attached in the rear, it became an independant in 1995. Here is a pic

Lightened it up a little - very neat little shop. Good luck, and I hope it works out for you, but a 'service' station seems like a radical idea thee days! [IMG]

Kind of a long way for a fill-up, but if I'm ever in your area, I'll look for it. Good luck. If a place like that can make it anywhere, California is the place!

The first photo-thats how a service station bay should look- with a hot rod parked in it!!! Cool! Good luck with the business. Good thing about full service, back in the old days, when I was a high school kid, worked @ service station for awhile mid 60s- get to see a lotta leg cleaning windshields!! [IMG]

I'm going to San Diego on the 25th so I'll have to stop in for a fillup and a window wipe. That's a neat place you've got there.

  27. Ditto with all the comments. One question, how the hell do we find you from LA by way of Phoenix AZ. And please let us know about the open house/party so we can make a road trip out of it.

Thanks everyone, I really have been enjoying Myself here at the station, and You can find this place right off the 58 freeway , I'm inbetween the 395 & 58 juction and the town of Mojave. so if a person was heading toward Vegas You would pass Mojave and find Boron 6 miles before the 395 freeway, it is a small town but it is on most maps, exit at the Boron ave exit and turn right then down to 20 Mule Team rd and make a left, I'm down on the left hand side and it is the only station in town. I've been lucky enuff to meet 3 hamb members since My move and hope to meet more, and if Ya pull in make sure Ya tell Me Your a hamber, oh My hours are 6 am to 5 pm mon-fri and 8-5 sat and 9-5 sun if You show up after hours knock on the door and say Your from the hamb, that way I will know not to shoot 'cause I'm allways packing, Pimemovers buddy Ryan saw 1st hand how I greet people late at night when they show up and I don't know'em bang bang bang. Hip & Prime, We gotta start planing the Rod*******s car show with Rock Shop Dave. Von Doc

Wow Doc, how many here can say they own a gas station? How sweet it is! The nite pics are as cool as it gets. Like Cadlights said, I'm jealous as hell. I'm just over the mtn. from you in Taft (oil country). Guess I'll need to head that way and topoff with some hi-test!

  30. Way Cool Doc. I'll see you on the way home from the LA Roadster show swap meet next June. I gotta help support the new business...
