After a VERY long search, I finally have a home of my own again. It's on 2-1/2 acres, in a neighborhood of car guys and best of all, it has a barn. The barn will soon be relocated on the property, enlarged, and turned into the COE-cave.

Congrats, great feeling isn't it. I am doing the same right now, having pulled the trigger on a new place…3/4 of an acre in a nice area with a good sized home and shed. Plenty of scope to make the shed bigger too, which will happen fairly quickly so i can put my four poster hoist back up.

  4. KS, glad to see you get a "place"! I've been so fortunate over the years, 10 acres, no housing authorities for 50 miles and no close neighbors. I could use an air chisel at 2 AM and no one would notice. (except my wife)

If I can ever find my camera, I'll post more pics. It decided to play hide and seek after the last move. I turned my COE around today and put it nose first into the garage. Afterwards I noticed that I came WAY too close to catching the roof of the cab on the lowered center of the garage. I guess I really need the shop done asap.

I dream of a day when I can use my '54 COE to go get parts for itself!

We are in the midst of packing at the moment, moving to our new place on the 18th. i hate packing/ moving but it will be great when the dust settles and i can get back to my COE. To have my work in my own backyard is something I'm really looking forward to, heck, ill be able to walk to work…….

Been in the new house for nearly two weeks now, it was a BIG job over the xmas break, but it feels great to have my own home again after renting for longer than i ever intended. Ive already seen several hot rods around town so i just know I'm going to enjoy it here lol
Now comes the BIG job of relocating my workshop as well, but once thats done i can relax and enjoy working on my COE again. Cant wait actually, I'm kinda missing not being able to work on it at the moment. I hope everyone has a GREAT new year in 2016.

Can I ask where you moved to?

Being sort of local I'm curious.

I'm still not used to living somewhere of my own. I keep thinking I will have to relocate yet again, maybe that is because everything is still in boxes.

my new shed feels kind of strange still, lots of boxes that haven't been unpacked yet into the house. i guess once i get some of "my" stuff in the shed it will feel better to me…..
