    I'm looking for info, pictures on what I'm guessing were 1-Ton (tonne) Ford Trucks used down under late 30's 40's body style. Please see attached. Check out this COOOOL Bed side !!! Screenshot 2025-08-01 190514.png

    They're called Utes. Repops are made and available in the US, search ausieute iirc. Calvin (an Ausie) was working out of Orange Ca, but its been a while now so things might have changed.

    the car pictured is a pick up truck
    a ute (utility) has the cab and rear body as a unit not split

  4. Search "coupe utes" for the unibodied style 30's and 40's utes.
    we also had a unique to Australia pickup tub for our '48-53/54 pickups also. 1000010305.jpg

    It most definitely is a separate box (what we call them).
    I guess Down-Under you call them "Tubs" on what looks like a version of our Post-War" Jail Bar" Truck look ??

    AND they are damned good looking. Something the US never perfected with El Caminos and Rancheros.
