Thanks C9.. Appreciate the effort.. Looks like a nice car but not the look I am going for with mine... Would like to see others, especially any black and white pics from the 60's (show or race inspired)
Not a C-Dan, but a fendered '29. This is running an original A frame that I mentioned in your chassis post. If I had it to do over I'd have opted for a new frame. This one's been rodded since the 60's and was kinda tweaked. I had a hard time bolting the fenders, aprons, etc up square. BTW R'n'R, fenders rule. They're so far out, they're in. You heard it first on the HAMB
Detonator, Is the '29 you posted your car? If so, it's a sweetheart. It reminds me of the ones being built in the 60's, such a straight forward clean look. I wanted to build a '29 roadster w/ fenders awhile ago until I sat in a couple and found my fat**** just couldn't get comfortable in one. I probably should build a bus then that would be less of a problem. hahaha!!!! Frank
Yep, it was my dad's. He was going through it when he passed away. I pulled off all the gingerbread, lowered it some more, shaved some stuff, chopped the windshield, and put it back together. I kept the fenders in his honor, but now I'm glad I did. I hear you on the size -- it's like sitting in a go-kart. I'm messing with the seats now to try and get it comfortable. I sat in a friend's 34 roadster the other day and it felt HUGE.
that is a sweet looking roadster.. Levis, it is going with fenders, hopefully when it is all done folks will like the look..
