A simple fix for a stupid mistake

    The bottom part above the door was slowly tacked ever 1/2 inch or so until it was filled in,,,then ground as smooth as possible.

    It was all sandblasted to ***ure it was clean,,,then the painter preped and dyno-gl*** was used to get it slick,,,,BTW,,, from the door back Steve said the painter used a thin bead of seam sealer,,,applied with a caulking gun.. HRP

    Yup, that's pretty much what I did on mine too. Only difference is I used a thin coat of mud rather than seam sealer under the drip rail over the rear window.

    It looks great, and it is nearly the same drip rail that my buddy has on his 35 chevy.

    I just wish mine was bright shiny red instead of primer! :D

    Thanks for the information on the drip rails Hotrod and 47. Its working out better then I had hoped and I am loving the way the body guy blended the front in for me. Thanks again.

    Looking Good Dave. Keep up the good work.

    Making a lot of progress on mine too. Hope to post some pics again soon. It is getting VERY close to paint now.

    I love this site!.. Here I was , ready to spend $ 500 for 5 -- 4ft. pieces of rain gutter to put rain gutters back on my 39 ford and after reading this and seeing the pictures, I can't wait try this. And it really looks Great. Thanks for the great tip.
