Well over a life time that is! Ever get tired of spending your hard earned money on rattle cans only to drop them knowing that the spray nozzle will be the first thing to go flying? I present the HMNP (home made nozzle protector)...........................................
That is a cool idea and don't forget to get the marble out of the can before you dispose of the can. Hobo Jim
After months of R&D work I have a new improved version, a simple hole for the squirter tube instead of the slot. Benefits, the cap stays on with a lot more clamping force!
When I buy gallon cans of acrylic thinner where I live, they come with two 5 peso pieces in the bottom. I have no idea why they are in there, neither does the shop that I buy it from. Works out to about 25 cents, but in a country where a laborer earns about 300 pesos a day it seems odd to give it away
Now, you didn't spray that bacon in the background as part of your research, did you??? GREAT idea- can't tell you how many cans I've dropped/killed over the past couple of years!
Weird to me !? In all my years, I have never dropped and or destroyed a rattle can. Seriously ! But thanks for sharing this with all that have. I guess I am luckier than I thought.!
My bigger issue is knocking the spray tube off the nozzles of carb cleaner, WD-40, etc. So I super glue them to the nozzle prior to first use, then when the can is empty, I swap it to the next can.
Don't worry, I've more than made up for the ones you didn't drop. Mine have a habit of doing suicide dives off the places I sat them on.
My cans love to land on their heads when they are brand new. I can't tell you how many cans I have lost that way. Great idea! Thanks Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
I read "bacon" out loud and my dog woke up and started wagging his tail and licking his lips... ! Hahaha..
Is that ... Bacon? It is Bacon awareness month, so it kinda makes sense I read "bacon" out loud and my dog woke up and started wagging his tail and licking his lips... ! Hahaha.. dogs ARE funny! tom
Ever notice, some words or concepts, are never, ever spoken or seen together? Things like "Leftover Bacon"? It ain't happenin'.
Ok, now that you have protected the spray nozzle, you saved one can - BUT - what about us few dummies that happen to drop a can of "something" and break off the nozzle on a brand new can Has anyone ever figured out a way to remove the small tube so a new one can be reinstalled ??? I am open to any sort of suggestions..... Thanks
Try "carefully" screwing a good sharp drywall screw into it(by hand & just the broken off part) ..then pull the stub out... It works...usually...
