Thanks to both of you. It's a LOT of money. I think the phaeton is safe. Just have to figure out how to make my**** comfortable inside it. I'm dreamin of Bonneville no matter how I get there, but you're right, that tub would make for some classic shots.

I understand your love for Phaetons and almost was able to procure that very car from Dirtiest Devil. You've done it right and I love it. In the meantime I found another one and made it my own. I'm built just as you are. I solved it by making the seat back really thin, like school bus thin. I also made a bottom seat cushion from an old couch cushion. It's nice and soft and doesn't make my belly rub the steering wheel. Keep it, it's one of those things in life that causes great regret when you let it go. There's very few things I would trade for mine. Only other Phaetons, I waited waaaay to long to own one.

    Thought this might help.
I used a 1/4" piece of plywood and some one inch thick foam to make the back. The lower cushion is 3-4 inches thick. Tilting steering wheel forward and/or using a smaller diameter wheel would help to really open up the*****pit.

    Man I love that phaeton.
