it is a very nice car,,way too much money though!

i dont think it was actually built by boyd,,,it is one of his boydster kit cars,,Wayne Halabura's is the one who assembled and did everything else according to the ebay ad..

  2. of course this is not what i/we call a hotrod but in a other way ,if you have the cast ,why not buy this handcrafted car instead of a mercedes slk ? i think the work behind a car like this have to be repected . But its just stupid to talk about , its the same thin as a prowler ,but much nicer , not a lot more expensiv BUT HANDMADE RESPECT

Their Ebay description highlights the difference between a street rodder and a hot rodder. Their engine description is at the very bottom of the page. A hot rodder would have placed it at the very top!

I normally wouldn't say anything because my stuff doesn't turn out all that good ,BUT, when I hear someone say flawless I have to look .
I made it to the second and third picture ,three bolts on the inside of the wheelwell ,not spaced the same , not level, not the same side to side.

I wonder if the frame is boxed?

  7. There's something out there for everybody.

I'm happy to be on the other side of the coin.

...And isn't this---> This car is correctly carries it's own California 1932 Ford ownership title and registration.... what they were being investigated for?

It's cool he comes right out and says it's a "trailer queen".

I'm thinking about building a Monster Garage inspired pontoon boat with a one-off set of Boyd billet pontoons. It's gonna have billet cannons on the billet deck that will fire billet grappling hooks onto the beach and rip bikinis off of teenage girls.
Mike... When are the Primates gonna come up and drink beer at the Northern Hideout? We can test fire the cannons.

    JOE:cool:

  8. And a real hot rodder would know that his engine is a LS-1, not a LT-1.

  9. In response to the hot rod "traditionalists", the under $100k Boydster III ...

  10. Joe is an excalliber under the guise of a street rod. Its all new I think that Boyd uses a TCI chassis. But don't hold me to that.
So no its not a boxed chassis its a tube chassis.

  11. overheard when a local overrated car sold for more than it was worth:
"It's worth what someone is willing to pay for it."

(whether or not they're morons is another thing altogether!)

"You'll see the photo's of Chip Foose with my partner after the car won 1st place in the hot rod class"

Anyone else catch that line? "with MY PARTNER"? Either the person writing the article is a woman who doesn't feel comfortable with the term "husband", or the owners of this car are ....

Every once in a great while it really does only mean they are BUSINESS partners...
    Or like John Wayne's "Pardner"...

Not very often, especially here close to tinseltown but it can happen.

Besides, does that give the car "cooties" or something?
