I wanna hear what you guys think when you get them... I really, really like mine. The best thing about them is the size. 22oz holds a shitload of whatever it is you are drinking... and while it's no YETI, it's keeps coffee pretty damned warm!
you guys notice this? going fast... "Initially, 300 were ordered... but we only got 147 due to "regular" manufacturing defects."
I sold 100 the first day... and orders have slowed down since. I think I’ll sell em all by Christmas though.
It was a gift. You can find one on eBay but they are not cheap from what I’ve seen Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
Surprisingly it does keep your coffee pretty warm but it does’nt seem to make mine taste any better. Haha
Finally cups larger than my WWII british army cups, which for years had made me a hated competitor at the library's coffee pot! I can achieve my normal LD 50 dosage of caffeine much more efficiently! Beautiful job on design and manufacture by Ryan!
Got one for my wife and myself. Worth the wait. I'm green as goose shit and have been thoroghly enjoying my coffee, beer, and tequila while reading up. Here's to old news, cheers. Thank you all
Crap...are they gone? What little banner in the corner? I'd even take a defect... match my personality.
I don't think so but you might not want to wait to long. https://jalopyjournal.myshopify.com/products/the-standard-issue-drinking-mug
Got mine a couple of days ago. Really like the look and feel of it. Was a little worried that it was going to be huge, but it seems to be a good size.
Got mine today, Ryan, and thank you very much. It's 39 degrees and pouring down rain in downtown Cleveland, TN but it's 72 inside and I've got a FULL cup of hot coffee. Life is good.
Critical Update: Works great for egg nog and whiskey. Unfortunately, I think one mug full is the limit.
Got mine this morning as a birthday gift! It’s a big one! I can see myself eating chili out of it some day haha. Very nice and sturdy, does get pretty hot on the outside when you dump your coffee in compared to a thicker mug but that’s what the handles for My toddler daughter loved it, she sat across from me having breakfast pointing at the cup saying “car, car, car!”
My amazing wife got me one for Christmas after listening to me whine about how great they are but I didn’t have one!! Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
True story... When these were originally made pre-wwi, they were thicker... And then, the british military ordered a bunch for their troops and asked for lighter versions for two reasons: 1. Lighter weight obviously 2. The doubled as hand warmers in colder climates You gotta think they were cheaper too though... In any case, after the big military order they never switched back to the heavier weight mugs.
Well, I’ve used them every day so far and I’m a fan. Keeps the coffee warm far longer than I expected it to, and they clean remarkably fast. Very happy with them
