THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, CHRIS for this post! I knew I had seen it here before, and now I found it again.

I am doing exactly this on my av8 project right now, and this was very helpful.

The frame i have already had the tabs for split bones, and they are too close for the bones I have. I guess they ran a model a axle and split bones before i got it?

after seeing your car im really considering leaving the wish bone unsplit. I really dig the stance on your roadster, I want to keep my car's era early to mid 40's as much as possible and you nailed it.

My axle is a 32 heavy axle, and i think the bones are 32's also but they appear to have been extended to clear the pan for a v8?
The welds look good, and the car it came off of was well built so I think ill just run it that way.

what kind of spring is your rear spring? I have a 41 ford rear end, but I dont know if ill use the spring?? The frame I have has a kick up of about 5" inches... Might have to go with something taller?

What is your wheelbase also please? I dont have a body yet, but I want to set everything up meanwhile.

    Thanks again!

The spring is a T spring, loweres it about 3" (once all the weight is on it)

Sometimes those saddle things are called rear motor mounts. Try searching that.
