'A' Visor gets louvered

This is my on-going Sport coupe to Standard Coupe project. Don't really like visors on anything so, what the hell !!, "punch" it (by hand) full of louvers !!

 

Thats the first time i have ever seen a louvered visor on anything!

 

I like it! I was going to do louvers on my A before I sold it. I wanted to match the hood.

 

Louvered visors are cool...looks great! Mind showing your punching setup? Here's a pic of one that I did for someone

i know a guy that louvered the visor on his `29 A sedan delivery , he claimed it whistled while driving at highway speeds

 

Any particular tune.................

 

I fabbed a female die and I literally knock one at a time, hammer and chase.

 

My 29 sedan visor is louvered and I'm working on a hood top to get louvered pretty soon. Just a warning, my visor starts flapping in the center at around 60 mph. I have a small bracket on the top center, but I should have brought a brace down all the way to the lower lip.
