Dave, I know you made yours from a 4 door if I remember correctly, did Ford actually build a C-400 ? HRP
Here are a couple model car "400's" I built. You can tell by the colors this was a while ago. Look past that.
By the end of 1933, Ford discontinued the Roadster pickup, producing just 16 for the 1934 model year before production ended. Today, only three actual 1934 Ford Roadster pickups are known to still exist. HRP
ALCHEMY is correct , Ford discontinued the body style after the 32 model year , too expensive maybe ? I know they had customer complaints about the top Leaking while driving in rain , windy conditions , I built my 33 after reading Ford service bulletins concerning customer complaints , and tried to correct the problems outlined in those reports , For instance , my 33 has a weatherstrip surrounding the edge of the roofline ,5/8" steel tubing welded onto roof opening then 1 & 1/4"steel tubing surrounds the roof opening for strength .the 5/8" tubing opened up to accept the weatherstrip . another complaint was hard to use storage space behind rear seat. adding a trunklid fixed that little problem. .
I agree about the Model A but the 1932 Convertible Sedan was designated the B-400 body style.[/QUOTE] Thank You , for posting that . no matter what you say , someone will find fault with it .
Anyone have a pair of 1932 B-400 rear left & right quarter garnish mouldings ? Altho sightly different A-400 mouldings would be considered.
Ford built more than sixteen RPUs in ‘34 (347) and there are certainly more than three still in existence.
