looks like a good time was had by all , and to think all I did yesterday was screw around in my shop. I'll have to put this on my radar for next year .

  3. John's been driving it like that for quite a while now. He does have a belt to turn the water pumps though, haha!

after the hot and sizzling week leading up to the run, it sure was nice to have a change in weather to cruise the back roads of silverado in a sweet roadster.
aces sure know how to make memories and drawl out the right crowds to their events.
    way to go aces!
count me in for next years poker run.

rockabilly jesus and his heavily chopped 32' set the bar pretty high with no fan.
its hard to make excuses anymore about my ride not being ready to drive, when he always is out on the road driving the fucking wheels off his ride.
heres to rockabilly jesus the man whom makes everyman shake their heads in disbelief of that flatty still running after all these long runs.

I actually went back to this place after the run and left a note on the windshield about the 1955 Buick. Been looking for a good one. Hopefully the guy will call me back.

Here are a few videos I took of the run and ride home

This one is kind of windy.

    One of the check points

    Here is the ride home

I grew up with a Shasta Trailer just like that one when I was a kid...it was just mint green insteat of yellow. I still have the plastic flowers that we had in the window of it.

Thanks for the compliments on the videos. Some are a little shaky but give a good idea of the scenery.

Thanks to the Aces for a cool event. Look forward to next year and hopefully a longer route wiht more side canyons like the Madjeska Canyone.

You know I have to say that as much effort as the ACEScc put into putting this event on, the success goes to all who showed up. Everyone who participated was fantastic! Everyone has been to enough events that crowd control and parking enforcement were almost not even needed.... I'm new the hot rod world but I am totally impressed with how everyone interacts and just know what to do. Congrats to the winners!! And Mike thanks for letting me hitch a ride with you!! I wish I had taken you up on your offer to drive your roadster!!

  23. I agree, what a great crowd. It was such a neat vibe for a show. So many cars and people, but under the canopy of trees in the canyon, it felt more like an intimate event.
