?about a split exhaust manifold

    i have a 55 plymouth belv.with the flat 6 and i want to run lakes...
    all info would be welcomed.......like were to find a split manifold,
    or if anyone has heard what one sounds like just y piped....

  2. Tatman, I cant help with the manifold, but I'm building a 55 Ply, also with the flattie six. Just good to know I'm not the only idjit in the world! :rolleyes:

    YEAH i hope it works.....had no compression,but the valves were stuck open
    got all to drop except two.but everything else looks good.....

  5. If you guys aint never heard a Plymo six w/ split manifold, youre in for a treat, it's the coolest sound around. Go for it!
     
  6. there's a guy in KS. or MO. who can do it for you. Check Night Prowlers or Inliners. Or you can do it yourself. Pull the manifolds off, separate the intake and exhaust, knock the heat riser stuff out of the middle of the exhaust, fill the holes left by the missing shaft. block off one side.(true split that way) Go to a muffler shop, get a flange that matches the original outlet and a chunk of pipe. Cut a hole in the bottom up front, weld on the pipe and flange. Watch the oil and fuel pump locations though.
     
  7. So you're running without a heat riser? This must have some effect on cold running?
