recently started collecting parts for my 32 ford roadster and would like to mention some companies and names that I thought were exceptional...an amazing man at Honest Charley speed shop Mike Goodman,Jim Hildabrand at Coker Tire, Jerry and Jason at Pete and Jake's and finally Pete and Teresa at BeBops Glassworks. In all my days I have never been given such terrific service from all of these people and the quality of the product was just as terrific...many thanks to all of you.
met mike goodman in 03 when my company sent me to la-z-boy in tenn. for some training.got out at 3:00 everyday.drove down to chattanooga to go to honest charlies.he did not know me from adam but treated me like a vip.gave me a tour of coker tire upstairs, downstairs, warehouse even corky cokers private office.gave me a free t-shirt.sold me a dented (almost perfect) honest charley sign that had a couple hangers on the back for$25.00 then says i'm gonna hook you up with a real piece of nostalgia wrote on the back of the sign with a sharpie 'this is the first and original sign that hung on the honest shop at 1309 then 1311 chestnut st. chattanooga tenn. stolen by david dyehouse then dated it .and signed it mike goodman president honest charley speed shop" then taped his business card to the back also.did not know who he was til that point.when i left he told me if i ever get back that way stop in we'd do dinner or maybe take his boat out if it was summer.like i said i was joe blow off the street.definatley the highlite of my trip. sign hangs in my shop.one hell of a nice guy........................dave
Good to hear some praise instead of the normal rant concerning businesses.. Nice to know for further reference. Tony
