Sometime about 20 years ago, my mom sold the car that was supposed to be mine, which at the time was parked at my grandparent's farm. The car was a '48 Chevy Fleetline Aerosedan, white and a sort of turquoise blue. It had some tell tale things I remember...it had a visor, rust on the front fenders, mud tires in the rear, and a pretty good collection of red primer spots. The car was complete and definitely restorable (the clock even worked). My cousin and I had it running, and he actually drove it once (while I was away for the day). I still have the original keys somewhere (or at least a set of them). The car was purchased off the Bollerud farm in Hollandale, Wisconsin...not too far from Madison. I'd love to know if anybody might know the car, and what might have become of it. If I can find the pics. I have it, I'll scan them and post them up.
Bet it got chopped, sectioned, slammed and draggin' *** somewhere in the States... Here's a bump for ya!...
If you have any old pictures and a good description of it, post them in the Wanted section of Craigslist. In 2000 I sold a 37 Chevy Chopped Sedan I built 20 years ago to a guy in Long Island. I found he sold it a year later to a couple from Connecticut but did not remember their name or where in Connecticut they were from. Over the last couple of years I posted in different Connecticut cities, got some leads and finally made contact with the owner. He was a great guy, we stayed in touch and last year I bought the car back. My son and daughter who took many family trips in that car and use to drive it when they were teenagers were delighted to see it back in our family. It once again has car seats in the back and my 3 grandsons have a ball "cruisin with Pop".
I sold my first car, a '68 Chevy convertible to a buddy of mine in '78... He still has it and we do keep in contact... And no, he won't sell it back too me...
There are a few I'd like to find..and than there are a few im glad are gone.. Here's to yer luck finding her
theres a guy in kenosha WI with one as you described. could it be in that area? its primered now and taken apart... you have anything with some numbers?
Nothing with numbers, unfortunately. Kenosha is only about 130 miles from Hollandale, so that wouldn't be too far. Do you have any contact info. for him??

I built a Hot Rod Model A truck in the late 70's and sold it in the mid 80's and was able to keep up with it until 89 and then it fell off radar. We were walking the strip in Pigeon Forge, Tenn at the Shades of the Past Rod Run 2008 and my wife said look over there,,,that's your old truck! We walked through the Motel parking lot and there before me was my old pickup I had built almost 30 years ago,,and it was horrible! As we approached it the only thing that reminded me of the truck was the resale red paint and I said it wasn't my truck,,on closer inspection it was painfully clear it indeed was but had changed drastically! huge billet wheels,my ribbed bed cover was now covered with Hartz cloth and had a ridiculous wing on the back,,the rolled pan was still on the back and the panel I made to go between the bed and cab where you didn't see the ground was still in place. I wouldn't even want to own the truck again,it wasn't perfect when I owned it but it wasn't hideous. HRP
Keep looking! Just last month I found my first car - a 1932 Dodge. I had sold it to a college cl***mate in 1967 after I had owned it for three years. I completely lost track of him until the wonders of Facebook (I was conned into joining by my granddaughters) allowed me to find him. He still had the car - it's been up on blocks in his Grandmother's (now his) house since 1970. I bought it back - for ten times what I originally paid for it - and it's coming back home after 45 years. That's me the day I bought it.
My dad bought a '57 Bel Air when he was a kid back in the 70's. Sold it sometime before the 80's.. 5 or so years ago we found it and my older brother bought it. Keep your hopes up, anythings possible.
I had a custom '51 Ford tudor when I left for the Navy in 1960----frenched lites, Buick tailights, peaked hood, etc. When I got home no one was driving customs anymore so I sold it for nothing. Thirty two years later I heard about it being about 40 miles from my hometown, by a country cemetary. Went there and there it was--and there it yet is. If that car could talk.
