I do my best work while listening to House Of Schock and also the "forgotten albums" from cl***ic bands...like ZZ Top's "Afterburner" album, Boston's "Third Stage", John Cougar's "Scarecrow", Tom Petty's "Southern Accents", Joan Jett's "Album", George Thorogood's "Maverick", and Ted Nugent's "Intensities In Ten Cities". For motivational inspiration, I turn to L7's "Bricks Are Heavy" album and Phantom Blue's "Built To Perform", as well as instrumental albums from Brad Gillis, Earl Slick and Jennifer Batten. It IS a part of the creative process for sure!
I have a wierd *** variety going on from Bob Marley, Motorhead, Clash, *** Pistols, Chilli Peppers, Rollin's, Peter Tosh, Stray Cats, GG Allin, Six Feet Under to Hank Williams. But AC/DC is my first love, ever since my dad tock me to see them in 77, when I was 8. And yes, Bon Scott, was the man.
"every time i hear "orinoco flow" it just makes me want to bang out another hot rod." Milli Vannili? Michael Bolton? You guys are SO under su****ion. . . . .
. . . .and now, back to the show. . . . Yeah, Bon Scott AC/DC, Humble Pie, DLR era Van Halen all with the volume pretty pegged.
I often feel "the rhythm of the night" ha ha ha I have a 300 disc CD changer mostly full of the finest obscure 80's hair metal in the garage. It is set to play at random to a pair of Klipch's with 15 inch woofers up in the corners of the garage. My old lady can often times not hear the TV inside because I am rocking out across the yard with my ear plugs in so I don't have to listen to the air compressor. as for the greatest bands I like to hear pop up at random: Guns and Roses Pretty Boy Floyd Bang Tango/Beautiful Creatures The greatest Rock and roll band to come from Lexington Illinois - Demolition Derby Kix Great White Fu Manchu Cinderella LA Guns Salty Dog Murderdolls/Frankenstein Drag Queens and let us not forget...The Sea Hags!

For sawing and grinding and welding it's hard to beat The Cramps, The Demonics or The Ramones. And for generally getting nothin' done on a sunny day, some Trojan ska and reggae. The rest of the time, well just about any blues, soul, country and rockabilly will keep me entertained. And kids, just remember this: Death before Disco!
