I was not happy with the current offering of carb solenoids for AC which only reacted after you set the throttle. They are not “pushers.” To fix this, I ordered a 12 volt aircraft solenoid that was a “pusher” and had enough power to move the throttle arm. I talked to the tech department and they tested these solenoids at 200,000 cycles. I ordered one, modified a bracket, tied it to the AC Clutch activation wire and adjusted the throw. Now when I idle and the AC comes on, the solenoid activates and the engine rpm does not vary. Don’t know why these are not offered by the biggies.

Only other consideration is the use of a Flyback Diode so current doesn’t feed back. I did not use one and have had no problems. Also, threaded the plunger shaft and put a nuts on it for adjustmen
