I'm running three Stromberg 97's on an Offenhauser intake on my 59AB engine in my '35 tudor sedan. I'm using a stock accelerator pedal and rod. My problem is that the accelerator pedal can not fully open the carbs because the rod appears to be too short. I can't bend the linkage because the linkage that the rod connects to is right up against the floor board. My carb linkage connects to the center carb. I thought that center carb was in the same location as the original carb but maybe I'm wrong.

Wondering if anyone else has experienced this and how you resolved it. Is there a longer accelerator rod? Is there a different/better accelerator pedal? My plan was to fab a new accelerator pedal rod but if there's a better way, I'd love to hear it.

    Thanks,

    Brendan

How about changing the attaching point on the center carb. closer to the pivot point will give you more movement with same amount of pedal

Post a picture. From your post above, I cant understand what you mean when you say "linkage" and "rod", like which is which.
