Figured I might give you Snow-Birds yet ANOTHER reason(besides our Groundhog Gala) to visit The House of the Mouse, next February. Seems that the Ace Café, of London decided to branch out across the pond and will be crash landing in downtown Orlando. Neat old group of wharehouses will be utilized. Dude re-assured me, they would maintain their "patina"

One of the principals, contacted me about our club helping out with the venue and it's Grand Opening. Supposed to be geared towards the car AND bike crowd, with different themed shows throughout the week. Talk of a Ducati bike dealership on the premises. Could be a cool place to hang. Hope they can pull it off. This town can be very fair weathered about this type of establishment. ie.."oh wow, look at what's the latest and greatest place to be a scene-ster" then a year later..."crickets"
Route 46 in Sanford was a perfect example. Totally awesome Greasemonkey hangout, that bit the dust, because of a lack of patronage. Was THE PLACE for us to hold our Gala. Like I said..."was"
Will keep y'all posted. We were invited to all meet with the big-wigs and do a walk around of the location, next week.

Wednesday, Nads and me met with two of the new owners(Mark and John). The building has tons of character and history. One of the out buildings, used to be a locomotive repair shop, way back when. Very cool laminated wooden pulleys, up in the ceiling, from some 100 yr old belt drive system. They want to retain as much of this old stuff as possible.
In October, there will be a "ground-breaking" cerimony. They wanted to assemble a bunch of Hot rods and Bikes, to be on hand, for media purposes. Soft opening is scheduled for late Feb. If you think restoring a car is allot of work, try restoring a 100 yr old building. Will keep y'all posted.

Thanks for the info. I will make it a must see for my annual trek to the sunny south.
