Just before Christmas Jimmy B and I decided to meet-up as we live so close to each other (aprox. 30 miles). For no reason, other than the fact that he's a good guy, he brought me a copy of the December '50 HRM. He said that it was a spare and he thought I'd like it. He was rite!:)

Fellowship is a good word. I am in poor health, legally blind but can see a little, and I really miss doing many of the things I used to do. Coming here and following the board puts a whole lot of wind in my sails. Denise told me about it, and I can't thank you enough. I hope to meet you in person someday because you have a hug and a kiss on the cheek coming.

Max (Jim) sent me a really cool sticker that I really treasure. I have been trying to be more outgoing and helpful lately because I just want to give back and get out of this shell I have been in. I have turned wrenches all of my life, and even if its just a little bump in the road I can help someone avoid it makes me feel good. Thats fellowship, good stuff to take away alot of pain.

You all are my friends, thanks!

  4. Everyone on here has been kickass, and I try to return the favor whenever I can. Mel (Dirtyest Devil) and Rob (Nappy) are awesome dudes.
Reminds me of a time on another forum I was on many years ago, I was just laid off, trying to make the bills, pretty destitute. I posted that I was selling off my Barracuda. Well, pretty much the entire forum took up a collection for me, and said they gathered up a bunch of money for me so I wouldn't have to sell. Well, that damn well nearly brought me to tears, that a bunch of strangers would do that for me. I declined the money, but it just made me bust my ass and work harder to try to make ends meet so I didn't have to sell my car.
The internet is chock full of assholes, but this place sure ain't part of that. You guys kick ass.

I know people hate having old posts dragged up but I have something that needs to be said.

DICKSTER27 or Dick York ( earth name ) is probably the coolest guy I have ever dealt with......without even thinking about it.
I am redoing my intake and wanted some of those spiral parts on my car when it was done. No one explained to me that you really needed to bolt the carbs down before you took the measurements.............you can see where this is going. I ordered my fuel rail with the wrong measurements. When time came to put it all together, I found my problem. I dropped Dick a PM and he said to send it back and he would work his MAGIC. He didn't work his magic!!!! He made me a new one at no charge. I simply can not believe that he did this. The plan had been to pay him for the rework and still make sure he got all the credit for this beautiful part .

    So here in public ..............

DICK YORK is one SUPER NICE HUMAN BEING !

HE IS A NICE GUY AND A CLASS ACT.

He does chase small dogs in snow but I will not hold that against him.

DICK, I OWE YOU BIG TIME.

  7. I've forgotten all about this thread but I do want to thank hundreds of HAMB'rs for all the help with the Roadster and in my life... Bobbleed, Max gearhead, krupanut, bobwop, Ryan, Josh77, Bobk, El Jefe, Mike Zenor, drew, Fonzi, Povertyflats, Aboner, Cheaters C.C. , Dirtiest Devil, Rosetr, and a ton more I'm forgetting...!

I especially want to thank everybody involved with the "Cross Members" CC... (Roothawg... Thanks brother!)

We've weathered some terrible storms and we've laughed at some terrible jokes and kept reaching out to help a fellow hotrodders around this globe.

So here's to another generation of degenerate gentlemen and hard working ladies!
