I’d forgot about this thread, but do you have a body now, or are on the hunt for one? Starting with a titled frame is a good thing, was less work than starting from scratch.
Does the title say the model of the truck that was on the frame? And if you were to put a roadster body in it and it needs an inspection for tags, does that cause an issue?
    Just something to think about.

  3. You can only use the '38 axles and drive train in a '32 chassis if it's fenderless as the wheels would not be centered in the fenders on a full fendered vehicle. '32 springs mount on top of the axles like a model A. '35 and later has the spring in front of the front axle and behind the rear axle. Ford did this to lower the cars and give them a lower center of gravity for better handling. '32 steering is side steer with the drag link connecting to a steering arm on the left spindle. '35 and later went to cross steer, with the drag link going to the right side spindle arm. If you're keeping the torque tube driveline, the driveshaft and torque tube would have to be shortened to use a '38 rear in a '32 chassis.

  4. Yep. It’s hot rods you cut and modify things to fit. That’s what we do.
Ive installed a couple 9 inch fords with a transverse spring. A 32 front in a 33 that had axles from a 36 with Lincoln juice in the rear and ford juice in the front. With a tandem master cyl from a gmc
    I’ve got a 48 rear removed from a model A
Seen lots a crazy combos used for round track beaters.
one of my favorite early mopar and Chevy mods Ive seen is a ford front crossmember and transverse spring set up to replace the parallel set up.

32 rear spring is behind the axle not on top.
