I'm looking to adapt the steering wheel off of a '64 Ford truck to a GM tilt/tele type steering column. Anyone out there know of an adapter I can buy or how to fab one up? No one I talked to seems to know how much of a hassle this would be. Thanx

Roadstar and I were just talking about this yesterday...

Seems that they made adapters for this swap back in the 60s...once a fairly common speed shop item. May have to hit e-gay or swap meets to find one now, though...but they DID make 'em for many years!

I'll go tool around evilBay & see what I can turn up. Anyone else have any input?

  4. The aluminum quick-disconnect adaptors from Speedway...etc. work well. You get a steel sleeve that you can weld onto your old shaft, and the aluminum piece bolts to the wheel. They come in all kinds of pretty colors... that can all be painted black.
