  1. I had asked Ryan in PM's the other day if there was any new thought to splitting this big forum into 2 or 3 separate forums.

When I was running my own VB-based forum (94K members in 2007), I used to add forums when the amount of threads that had posts was over four pages over the last 24 hours. I think this forum is more like 7 or 8 pages actually.

I would respectfully suggest that maybe g***ers and race cars be split out? Seems like an easy one.

No changes! All the cars here play together well.
Check out the DOGFIGHT forum for high performance stuff.

Keep it the same, Like said above Ryan has setup differnt forums already, Dogfight, Jockey Jornal, Gear Jrnal, Garage Journal , and He has taken over Ford barn.

And the HA/GR- Hamb Drags sections cover the racing sector of the HAMB fellowship quite well.

But what do I know I've never been down the 1/4 or 1/8th.

I said "No Changes" just because at times, I can be cruising through the pages and see something that never caught my fancy before. Yeah you could say, "Well then you could just cruise the other forums." but honestly how many of these guys cruise the HA/GR forum also? How many know there is an HA/GR forum? The problem I think would arise is that there would be a TON of repe***ion whether it be content or questions.

If anything needs to change, I think, is that maybe we could have a larger "Search" ****on!:D

  8. If you break it up it would be like a divorce...you don't get to see your whole family everyday, just every other weekend haha...ok not that bad, but it just wouldn't be the same. I agree this forum moves fast....but thats what the search function is for

Leave it!! Although, I say we put up a mirror site that redirects ratrodders and owners of 1973 F-150's away from here.

Just who would benefit from changing something that works?More than half the hotrodders on here race, have raced in the past and own both a racer and a hotrod so splitting that up wouldn"t help anybody.Leave well enough alone.

Leave it to hell alone. That is one of the good things about the HAMB, Ryan hasn't made dozens of micro forums out of it.

It's fine the way it is...and now we have the Fordbarn as well for restoration advice. If Ryan needs to expand or tinker I would think an acquisition to a chevybarn or mopar barn or stude barn might be fun.

Nah, I don't see the need to change, add or split. Good approach to your idea, asking instead of hollering but.. I'm happy with the current discussion layout.

I'd actually like to separate it into pre '48 Hot rods and then everything else on a seperate forum haha!!! Just kidding, it work great as long as us as the members keep the content up!

Then somebody would want an 'off topic/bs' section, then a seperate trucks section, then one for car haulers/coes, station wagons, four doors, etc.

And even then it wouldn't matter, you'd have dumb***es posting in the wrong areas, or posting in all areas to make sure their post got 'maximum exposure'

I would keep the forum together, but maybe make a couple of catagories in general discussion.

If more guys would actually use the prefix option that Ryan provides it would be way less difficult to find stuff of your particular interest. That being said maybe a g***er race car prefix might be in order.
