just wanted to suggest adding more "condensed" build threads into the tech archive. the guys who take the time to do***ent their builds and share their secrets are one of the reasons i enjoy this place so much. but i have to confess how annoying it gets reading/filtering through page after page of people repeating how they think the building is a "ruller" and what not. maybe even go as far as adding a certian tag like there are on others in the tech archive like "body" "brakes" "tires" etc.
thank you for using the archives, I have been wanting to do just that but the last couple years I wasn't sure they were being used maybe if there was more of what you suggest it would
talking way over my head as i know nothing about website design but if the tech archive could be broken up similar to the cl***ifieds, i think it would be much easier to navigate through them making more people aware of its contents. i know that it would be just as easy to use the search function but hit words can be hit and miss. have one dedicated to body work, to frames motors etc etc...
if you read the sticky at the top of the first page in the forum it will tell you exactly how to do just that
Im in the middle of putting my A together and I look at the achives all the time, and I search for other build threads looking for tips and tricks. I think its really helpfull. Sharing ideas makes the build easier and faster.
Hey Paul Not sure my build is worthy but, I wouldn't mind if you or we moved mine to the tech pages, should I pm you about it? Sent from my iPhone using TJJ
The archives are great! I would love to see more condensed threads added. I have had PM's from some guys saying that my build helped them but it was hard to wade through all the pages of comments.
I agree on the archives, they are a great resource! The only bad thing with them is that many of the pictures have been moved or deleted throughout the years, at least those not hosted on the HAMB... I see some of the European forums have disabled the possibility to comment on a build thread, but they are also in their own sub forum and easy to find. Maybe that could be an idea..?
