I'm sure it's been discussed to death already, so can someone point me to a thread that would discuss how to add original OEM power steering to a 59 Ford or Edsel?

I understand that it's a bolt-on setup that uses a cylinder for power ***ist and uses the original steering box. Looking to see if there's more info that would help in the conversion. Thanks!

It's been a long time since I worked on one...I recall the pitman arm, center link, and idler arm are different. Oh...and they like to leak from everywhere.

I’m pretty sure the steering box is different between power and non-power, it certainly is on my 62 Merc. The ratios are different

For the price of the bits I’d seriously look at a power steering box rather than all the OEM gubbins.
