it would probably be better and cheaper to go with a set of custom length pushrods, places like Summit sell a pushrod length checker,or you can make one yourself if you have a hollow pushrod and a tap and die set-george

I ordered the pushrods for my hemi from Smith Bros. Great product and service.

  6. Kerry, what did they run cost-wise?

It looks like I may need a different length than the ones I have, but will have to wait for the machining to be done before I know for sure.

The pushrods cost me $135. A bit more than I remembered but they let me specify everything. Diameter, wall thickness, length, ends, etc... I remember being surprized just how fast I got them. Quality stuff and great service.

  9. Thanks.
Still figuring out stuff about adapting Chevy roller rockers to the Buick and - much as I hate em - adj pushrods would be an easy way out.

Hoping to get back to the 31 project in a couple of months.
The move to Arizona should be done by the first of August.
    I hope.... [IMG]

I tried them on a 394 Olds with solid lifter cam and stock rockers,

they worked better then the adjustable rockers with the interference fit screws

but not as good as the adjustable rockers with jamb nuts.
