need a little help, I see the adjuster on the side. What the proper procedure?

to keep fluid in box, Do people put a plate and a gasket on the bottom?

I am already aware the f1, f100, or nash boxes are better. I plan on upgrading. I would like to try this for a minute.

    thanks Junior

Heres how to adjust it...It's hard to keep fluid in em. They leak between the two bodys. Can't tighten it too tight to seal the leak as it will bind up the internals.

Well, that is not my experience with them. You can tighten the nuts on the studs and not hurt anything(within reason). Mine does not leak there. There is a gasket that fits in a recess there to stop leaks. A tube and plate on the bottom stops the oil out the bottom. It is a very special dia tube so you have to find an old one. I put a seal on the sector so I have no leaks.

Thanks for posting the service bulletin, good stuff. I bought a '53/'56
f100 box for my T, the more I think about the ratios, the more I am thinking I want a '33/'34 box instead.
