So...seems the ads only show up when using a mobile device (phone) or something? I don't get them on my laptop (which I guess is also mobile technically... ). Maybe I have a firewall that won't let them through there or something.

 

Funny I get them on the laptop, and not the phone. But I've never updated my phone since I bought it new back in 2017.

 

I was in here yesterday and a few times it was ads with men kissing,,,,,,I clicked out and didn’t come back till now !
If it keeps happening I won’t be back .

Not to really get into that, but any PDA in ads is just off putting. That's just the way things are, wouldnt leave a place like this over what google decides they want to display.

The ads are starting to figure out who the audience is

 

ublock extension on firefox keeps them off both phone and desktop.

I just added unblock to my cell phone Firefox browser, as suggested by @squirrel; no more ads!

I needed a new fan controller for the Olds and was on-line looking for one the other day. One of the pop-up ads on here yesterday was for a Derale controller, $30 cheaper than summit and free delivery. So I bought it, some*******, Cheetos and a year of Peacock for only $19.99

Every time I start to read a post it jumps up and I’m out of place for a while .

I don't have an ipad. Just a phone and desktop and laptop.

Can you install firefox browser on an ipad? I don't know.

 

I did the "duck" thing on my cell phone and it killed half the adds.....

 

Hey guys we have to remember the purpose of the ads, I’m not a fan of ads myself but if they generate $$$s for a good cause I’ll suffer through. Not sure if visiting some of the sites will help revenue or not? Anyone understand how the system works?
