Mercury Charlie never lets me down!!! He had a great display...Whan I saw him he said,hey i've got something for you...He gave all the Merc guys a record that he put a new label on with his cars name on it! He's SOOOO cool!

 

Thanx for the pics, I was looking forward to your posting on the show, you have to have every Merc ever cataloged!

Well, I wanted to go, but couldn't. I did however snag a nice 50 Merc 2 door with a bunch of extra parts I saw on Craigslist last minute. Now residing comfortably in my garage.

This was a bad*** stock '51...

 

cool pix...about 10 years ago I had something similar happen at the Pomona swat meet...me and a buddy ran into a few guys we knew and hung out in the parking lot just shooting the breeze and the parking lot was just about empty...they took us over to our car and we said our goodbyes...hopped into the delivery that I had at that time and like a dope I had left the lights on and had a dead battery...there were two cars close by and I asked them if they would give me a jump and they looked at each other and said for 40 bux...back then I wasn't as calm as I am now and went ballistic and read him the riot act and off they went and there we sat...luckily one of the workers saw us there and came over and asked if we were stranded...needless to say he gave us a jump...some guys get it and some guys don't

 

I hate to say it,but I kept trying to imagine this one SLAMMED!!!

 

Words cannot discribe this one!!!! You really have to see it in person,seriously!!! It's one of those cars that after looking at it,you go back to your car and say "my car's a piece of ****!!!"

I know this is gonna sound bad,but the guys who cloned the American Graffitti Merc copied the poor quality of the origal build perfectly! That's a compliment!!! If they would have improved on the things that were done wrong on the original,then it WOULDN'T be a good clone! Any of you guys who ever saw the original,know what i'm talking about! It was great to see it!!!

That is THE car that got me hooked on Fat Fender Customs when I saw it at the '91 Autorama - it was all over for me after that moment.

 

I HAVE ONE! But my wife uses it so it's in her purse,LOL!!!!
