Advice on buying Model A axle

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by fords-n-fatboys, Jul 28, 2010.

  1. Just need a quick idea of what to look for...
Original Henry "A" axle and uncut wishbone...mechanical brakes...hubs spin freely...and not close to the house...

I want to pull the drums/hubs to check the spindles...what tools to take? (assuming he doesn't have any)
Areas prone to damage/wear to check?
    Whats it worth?

    Thanks-

$50- 75 There ain't much there to use ,axle and wishbone. Personally would not use A spindles unless restoring a stocker.

Original axle compatible with later model spindles?

I agree $50-$75....but from what I remember, uncut wishbones seem to be hard to find these days. Just the wishbones are worth that, no problem IMO
