I recieved my crate 290 hp/ 350 the other day and have started to collect all the fixins to get it together and in the car. I'm a beginner when it comes to the motor side of things.
Looking for advice from guys that have built them. Can I/ should I put a 2x2 adapter (Holley 94's) on a four bbl intake on a crate motor? I have a rebuilt 700r that I plan to use as well. I preffer the looks of the 2x2, though a 4 bbl is probably more effecient.

    Any advice is appreciated...

    Thanks,
    Jerry

better look into the TV cable hook up on a 2x2 set up. If it isnt traveling in the correct arc or is out of adjustment you will roast the trans.

Looking at Summit the max RPM for that engine 5100..... They suggest 439 cfm for a 350 cubic inch motor at 5100 RPM .... Holley 94's produce about 160 CFM each..... It may run lean!!!

What he said. If not correct it will burn up the trans FAST.
