I would sell it as is, if the buyer wants to pull the pan or anything else that would be fine. The buyer would probably tear it down just to double check the clearance and refresh the assembly line anyhow.
I picked up a 327 several years ago that was said to be rebuilt but never run for $300. I’ve used it for mock up so far, but have had the intake and pan off and looks clean and fresh. I still plan to pull it down to check the clearances, swap the cam and heads before starting it.

The only thing I know about 348's is their carburetors.

The 348 came with a number of carburetor options:

The original Rochester 4-GC is worth some money
The original Carter WCFB is worth more money
The original tri-power is worth even more money
And the original Carter AFB is worth the most of the original options

ALL of the original carburetor options are worth more than an aftermarket unit.

So my suggestion would be to talk to some of the 348 guru's about casting numbers.

Are there other components that have different values??? cylinder heads? alternator? distributor? intake manifold? how about date codes?

I know this is a hot rod forum, but when estimating worth, one should also consider the restorer market.

Depending on the value of the parts, someone might buy it just for the parts.

But like others have said, be honest with the buyer, have a valve cover loose and the oil pan loose for inspection.

I would personally not start the engine.
