I have a 53 mainline and I had two questions actually.1 is there a certain year range of Aerostar spring to try to get or will any year work? 2 when doing the swap do you separate the lower control arm at the crossmember or the spindle side? Is there any advice you can offer on how to do this without killing myself with a spring? :D

Put Aerostar springs in the search box on the upper right, there is a wealth of info located on this forum and some good pictures too.

The best way to install this is put a jack under the control arm, take out the bolt from the spindle and lower slowly. it is much easier than the chevs. be careful with your brake lines.

That (ebay price) is a few buck less than I paid at the local Parts Plus store. Had them the same day. It's a great bargain, compared to prices I got for standard replacements for my '56.
