Check out POST #28 for the 32 frame Rusty is doing up for me....Pics looks killer and I can't wait

Well after wanting for so long and finally finishing the 54, I found a 30 model A sedan and brought it home.

Big Thanks to BigKen for finding this first and not sedan blocking me and buying it first.

Cool! The forefather to the family truckster! That should be a really cool ride when it's done. Keep us posted

  7. I love the front seat support! You have to keep that in it.
I dunno, maybe its being Australian and our plethora of more doors but I think that would make a killer rod with all 4 doors!
    Doc.

If you have a family, that would make a great hot rod to carry the kids and dogs, un chopped.

If you've ever seen Big Tony, he lives up to name. I think it will be a pretty cool 7 window coupe....

Wow, that's an early 1930 Slantwindshield you've got there. Steel constructed doors, yeah buddy! The instrument panel is the 28-29 style with the oval speedometer which denotes the early production 30s. It's a goodie.

so, you're sayin...weld the front and back doors together to make one large door for "His Bigness"? :)

SO what you're saying is that car there has had the tank replaced with one from early 1930 production with the 28-29 style instrument panel?
    I think not.

  21. hey all i am saying is that 30 4 doors were wood
maybe this is a real early 31
it doesnt have an indented firewall (i can see that) so that would mean that it has a 30 firewall and tank
why it has a 28/29 instrament panel in a 30-31 car is a question that you and I will never know
the cars are 75 plus years old, with alot of different people working on them.
all i can say is that an early 30 ford 4 door weather it was a briggs or a murry did not have steel inner doors and subrframe

Hey Jerry - I just sent Big Tony the tip to the car, he actually went and dropped the cash. He needed a family hot-rod a whole lot worse that I did.
See, he's gotta build one for the three other gals in his life, and my wife won't me haul around all the other gals in my life, anyway. Beside, I like mine, kinda gettin' used to that 'cozy' feelin'. :D

It's actually just a three seater...just put the steering wheel in the midde of the car and then it'll be just right for you. Nice comfy seat in the back and everyone else can ride limo style.

So far the plans are..... Dirty's Speed shop 32 frame with a 4 inch drop axle radius rods, 9 inch rear with ladder bar and buggy spring, and a sbc to power it with a 700r ******... I know it ain't a hot rod without 3 pedals (hehehehe)

As for the body.. it will be kept a four door or as someone said a 7window with a 3 -4 inch chop...can't get too carried away or i will have to have to sit in it from the top and look like a damn circus bear driving it... hhehehe.

Will post updates as they come...
