So, I hit a deer with the Caddy back in early November, and I guess I never put up any "done" shots of it when it came back out of the shop...Some of you guys have been askin', so Jerry Reed, lurkers, fellow cadillac junkies, this one's fer you....
Now, I know that I've posted these before, but for the benifit of one Jery Reed...sorry it took me so long man..here's ya go...Dash shots!...'59 Chevy dash in a '59 Cadillac...take that stockers..
The last one was a pic of the frenched in radio....here's on of the whole dash...and yes, it's smoothed and filled too...
Actually tragic, the damn thing got up and ran away...I got out to stick a steel toed boot into its teeth and it got up and bolted! Anyway, it's better now than it was before....here's a shot of the flames that i laid on the dash cluster....
AAAHHHHH, what the hell...I thought i'd stick this on here and let everybody drool over it...it's what's goin on the '59 Eldo block that's goin in my 30 Ford coupe...
The caddy is lookin' good. That car is badass!!!! Where did you get that intake? Im drooling. I'm glad to see it's alive after it's run in with bambi.
Hey I actually see some focused shots!!! Must of stepped away from the "Coffee" early!! Lookin Good!! Coupes carb setup is "AWESOME"!!! Mark
Hey there katzenhammer...you're damn right I'll be at the 50's!!...don't know if it'll be in the Caddy though...i might just have to drive the A-bone up there this year! Thanks for the props Jerry...I actuall got the intake from Marcus....one of my luckiest e-gay scores yet...the carbs i got at Back to the 50's last year....had 'em chromed by The Chrome Shop in Menasha, Wi....Gordie Teshendorf outta Milwaukee rebuilt 'em fer me...that pic is actuall pre-rebuild of the carbs...thanks for the thumms up Kojak....that '59 certainly draws some serious attention, that's for sure!...hey Wingnutz...yeah, i kinda figured you'd appreciate some of the pics i stood still for...I don't know man, i guess i just get too excited standin' next to old iron....
I was playing a show in St.Paul, Minn on a Friday night last year in July...drving out on Saturday we stopped in Hudson, Wi for food and petrol...i was puttin fuel in the Cadillac and this big dude came out of a tour bus that was getting deisel...he asked me if the car was mine, and i said yep...he said "Hey man, the boss says this car's tight...what you gotta have for it?" So I says.."well, i guess $50,000 would take it"..he said, "yeah that's what we kinda figured...I'll go tell the boss." I asked "So, who's the boss?" and he said "Ice T, man.." And in another couple of minutes, I was stading there in the middle of po-dunk nowhere talking '59 Cadillacs with Ice T at a gas station! I even threw some flames for him...our keyboard played said i shoulda seen the look on Ice T's face when i was doin' that! His crew took his pic standing in front of the Caddy, and then they took DVD of me throwin' fire! He said he'd get a hold of me, took all of my info, and said that even if he didn't buy it, he might want to use the car in a video....haven't heard nuthin' yet, and i ain't holdin' my breath either, but it still is a pretty cool story, and my whole band was there, so i've got eye-witnesses! Gave him a CD too...feels pretty good knowing that Ice T has a recording of me! I swear, driving that '59....there's never a dull moment...and I likes it that way!!
