I found this at some British website. They destroyed a '56 Buick in some sort of a demo derby, this was last week. Bummer!

 

Looks like a '57 Buick to me!

Oh well, it was from a Brittish web site which means that the steerin' wheel was probably on the wrong side anyway.

Then they cry that they don't have any good cars/parts over there.WTF.

I'm seriosuly surprised to see that. I'd imagine a car like that isn't cheap... people just don't give a shit!

 

Looks pretty knackered to me in the before pics. See the disc brakes? It's been butchered well before the race....and obviously without mentioning the "bodywork".

But at least it took out a few buzz-boxes in it's last few turns of the wheels!

 

I would've taken the front bumper off and put it to use on my truck!

 

Yeah, there's a bunch of destruction derby numptys over here who think it's cool to destroy cars. The older and rarer the car, the more 'prestige' they have when trashing it.

Luckily, a lot of what they trash are real worn out pieces of shit, with bullshit jap motors in, but many are still saveable.
