hey there, I stumbled onto your forum a couple of weeks ago. I was lookin for info on stovebolt mods. You guys are full of tips, and it is awsome that I can find advice that would have otherwise been a pain in the ass to get. After searchin your site I decided to chop the coils on the front of my 49 chevy fastback. I cut off 1 and a quarter and it came out perfect on each side(lady luck is a sweet but fickle chick.) Anyways I thought I would express my appreciation for the knucklebusters who help each other. I'm a 25 year old excavator operator and forman in a construction company(I started when I was very young.) I also consider myself a student when it comes to traditional car culture. I wan to learn as much as i can from all you veterans. I love the ingenius methods that came about from lack of many aftermarket parts. If any of you have some old school tips about my 49 I would love to read them. I have a 261 planned in place of my 216, Ive made 3-inch blocks in the back(but need to go lower) plus Ive done mild body mods(shaving, de-badging...) If you have pic of your chevy Id love to see em for inspiration. keep on......
Welcome aboard! Seems to be a few of the Chevy fastbacks slinking around here...nice cars. From your intro you should fit right in!
