Air Compressor out of gas engine?

I have only seen a couple of these. The division of engine/pump was not full banks but alternate cylinders in the firing order. so there are no 'skips' and it runs like a normal 4. The cylinders used to pump air are isolated (like a normal dual plane manifold) so no fuel is sent to them. No chance of blowing anything up or burning your cat!

 

Check Out Dunne-right Corp. They Sell Various Kits And What Not For Vw Engines. The Compressors Are Putting Out 100 Cfm Of Air.
