In my experience, Vintage Air is one of the few companies that make "bolt on" products that actually bolt on. They have done a good job designing their bracketry to pick up factory holes. Every time I install one of their factory fit units, I fear the worst, and always wind up impressed.

Sorry to say this, but energy is not free! What you don't **** right out of engine is indirectly ****ed via alternator trying to keep up with charging battery. No Freebies!

Restomod Air has some cool stuff like being able to control the unit via bluetooth so no visible controls are needed. But I know several shops that install Vintage Air exclusively and never have complaints.

Vintage Air solid state controlled unit in my 39CDAN works great and they do whatever it takes to make you happy. Great vendor to work with. My is the Gen IV and I love it.

60 Pontiac in my avatar has the largest Vintage Air unit that would fit under the dash board. No complaints it works fine.

Just put a Gen IV Vintage in my 32 5 window this week, first fire up. 38 degrees @ the vent.

Wouldn't use anything else and haven't in over 30 builds.

Will do. It is partly shoehorned in there now.

I am about to weld up a dummy condenser, so I don't mess up the real deal.

Vintage Air vote here also..... but one big key to how affective it will be is having excellent insulation in the cab !

Which ever company you decide to go with, order the extra length hose kits just so you have enough. If you run them up out of the way for looks, it will take more then the off the shelf kit has.

I went with Vintage air, wish I had done it 10 years earlier!

Stay away from Old Air Products! I had a very very bad experience with their junk. If you've tried to use it in your 57 chevy you know what I mean. The owner of the business flat out lied and they had the gall to charge me for more defrost hose when they didnt include enough in the kit
