Go to the Fram website and search the dimensions section.

    Hello,

When K&N first started, they had the background of using their new filters on plenty of off road applications. With the solid reputation from those Baja race folks, the word of mouth and results pushed the popularity to new heights. It was a new company going against several large factories at the time.
They made plenty of air cleaners for all applications and there were multiple models to fit most conditions.

When we finally finished our 327 powered 40 Ford Sedan Delivery project, we got a new K&N filter that was made for carburetors of different kinds. Our 4 barrel had a chrome cap on it from the previous owner. Since we constantly drove on the dustiest highway all along the coast most of the time… Bolsa Chica (old Tin Can Beach) +Huntington Beach State Park area along PCH from Seal Beach to the Newport Beach River Jetty. Why is it the dustiest highway in the area?

When the normal West winds come in from the ocean every day, it stirs up some sand dust particles floating in the air. The stronger the winds coming onshore, the more it kicks up the fine dust from the beach shoreline. Now, it is an everyday thing for those winds to come onshore. With the open beach area in the path of the winds along the described area, there was no stopping the winds and those cars on that portion usually got pelted with dust and sand. A flat area that was opened all the way to the local mountains from the ocean was a good situation for all winds to come blasting in the morning and into the night.

We had to constantly wash our 327 powered 49 Ford Sedan Delivery and other cars, motorcycles in our garage. Yes, a covered garage helped, but not on the road. Now, when the Santa Ana winds blow from inland out to the ocean, one would think all was going to be ok. As it blows the sandy dust, back out to sea. Well, it does that, but the strength of the offshore winds, now creates the stronger offshore winds to pick up inland dust and sand as well as previous dust and blow it back toward coastal highways and living areas. With a good seal from the best filters, air was allowed to do what it does. The technology was there and normal hot rod folks derived their choices from the racing industry with the latest of air filters of all kinds and applications. "Weather waits for no one..."
