Well since we cant talk about chinese tools without getting kicked off. How about different types of air fittings. My ct uses a sub standard fitting. Its larger which i have larger receivers but they dont fit. The one pictured with oring fits but its part of something else. I mic'd my standard fitting and its .318dia. New ct is .393dia but i dont think thats the issue, i think its the receiver.

Unscrew that hex shaped piece and see if it has 1/4 NPT screwed into what I believe is a regulator. If it is 1/4 NPT then screw in a male hose connector to suit.

To my knowledge, there are only two sizes. One with a long tip and one with a short tip. Looks like you need one with a long tip.

If you have a compressor of decent size, and have intent on using any long-running tools, such as sanders, etc. the best place for those fittings are in the metal recycling bin.

All of those varieties are a choke point for air flow, even if you are only using 3/8" hoses with 1/4" NPT fittings.

Switching to high-flow fittings, such as the Milton V, will make it feel like you upgraded your compressor.

As for the number of types of fittings commonly found in the US, at last count, I think that there are seven, possibly eight.

    Europe has its own standards.

Nobody knows exactly what comes from SEA.
