can use flake with an airbrush? I was thinking baout it earlier today and i didn't know fi it would work or if it owuld work with a certain tip or somthing. anyone know?
well... you'd need a REALLY big fluid nozzle to shoot Metalflake through an airbrush. best you could hope to squeeze through would be a metallic and depending on the type of gun you're using even that would be pushing it. think of the airbrush as a means to do shading and intricate modeling on a 'Flaked surface, not the means to lay down the 'Flake. for that, you'd need a regular gun, with a 2.2 tip.
i was figuring it couldn't be done, but i thought maybe the micro flake could work. Just thought I'd ask some people who might know.
I mucked around with different size flake and nozzles, and the basic rule to make it spray well seems to be tip size at least 50% bigger than the flake size, maybe micro flake would work-I imagine airbrush tips are pretty tiny.
