Technical Airguide tach wiring

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by deucepickup32, Feb 6, 2025.

  1. This Airguide tach was with my Vicky when I got it. Plan on using it but have no idea how to wire it. Opened it up to replace the wire with cloth covered. 2 wires identified as - and +. 2 wires that look like they go into a light socket. I do have a sender unit which I think the po had an instrument vender make for the tach. 4 wires out of it, one identified as signal neg side of coil. It appears that the original red wire, which is + inside the tach, is connected to the yellow on the transmitter. Green from tach I think may have been a ground. Black from transmitter possibly a ground?
That’s all I can figure out, thoughts.
Also, I have no idea of the model #.

So you have the signal wire marked, that leaves ground, black with loupe? 12volt power, yellow with fuse? and light, black without loupe? All just educated guesses.
