Alcoa Ansen domed pistons for a '56 265 engine

    Would you happen to know if these piston pins are press fit or floating?

    Aftermarket pistons may have grooves in them for piston pin retainers but that doesn’t mean you have to have the rods machined to float the pins.
    The wrist pins will be the standard size and it will be the pin bore in the rod that needs to be resized for floating pins. Some will insist on fitting the rods with a bronze bushing to prevent galling but I have a set in a SBC that are steel on steel and haven’t had a problem in street usage.
