Alfa to flatty to 283.....

    Finally.... I have landed in my indecisions over enginechoices for the 33!

    This is how it will be after having tried with both Alfa Romeo tc and flathead Ford, and this is final! (for now) :)

    283 is squezed in without any cutting of firewall or frame, 39 box moved 1" forward to give dist. clearence, Closed drivetrain.

    My plan is to add a quick change later on.

    Mid '50s Chevy's fit in early Fords better than flatheads.

    Small blocks have been the standard for 50 years, go for it. You could build a lifetime supply of them and drive it everywhere for less that the cost of 1 flathead.
