Just found this thread today, and have enjoyed the stories.:)

I think my username is fairly obvious, no story is necessary.;)

My company name gives me more problems.

In a different lifetime, marketing was an elective which I figured I needed as I was getting ready to start my business. (No, I do not have a business major). The instructor suggested that if any of us were to start a business, to pick a name that all of our customers could remember.:(

    "The Carburetor Shop" seemed appropriate.

The problems arose with the rise of the internet. I think at least 49 other individuals attended that class; there must be a The Carburetor Shop in all 50 states, and probably most of the provinces of Canada. We get LOTS of calls from folks looking for The Carburetor Shop that rebuilt their carburetor, ALL of them unhappy. Sometime it takes several minutes to calm one down before I can inform them it wasn't us.

I have a buddy who dated "Psycho Sue". Doesn't sound familiar, I hope...

  3. Naw this girl was Angela. Made the mistake of dating her twice. First time her mom hated me. Which meant things were ok. Second time her mom thought I was the proper mate to breed strong descendants of her family.....a few weeks in stuff started getting weird lol. Think the only reason I survived is that was my feral era lol

  4. Be up for redoing a partially torn down Edelbrock? Lol. Took the top off a couple years in winter and lost patience and bought a new one. It still worked but liked to throw fuel out the choke horn lol

I think my last ex was a relative of hers,
    Krazy Kris, sound familiar?

I go by Old iron 440 because it’s been a project of mine for the last 41 years. Im interested in W Fords and 440 Mopars my cars are built around them, the year I first came on here I was refreshing two of them one a lower compression 525hp 550tq street setup and a 650hp 620tq e-85 s/strip window rattler, both have cast iron blocks and heads. Both are 1970 blocks and were only ten years old when I picked them up. I first put them together in the mid eighties using the Engine book from Mopar Performance. I’m still pleased with the numbers you can get with a few parts and a die grinder, time and some old junk parts.:)

It's overrated, and only leads to trouble.

    Best to avoid it.

  11. Unless you were in Arkansas in 2004.....lol. Funny part was that was the second time I dated her. Dated her two years before. First time her mom hated me with a passion. Second time she thought I was gods gift to her family gene pool for some bizarre reason. Both times crazy was involved (tells you how Good looking chick was lol) but the near forced marriage came after her mom decided she liked me lol

It's what I do when I'm not messing around with Hot Rod's (NHRA Stock Eliminator). No good story, it was the first thing that popped into my mind when I signed up. I'm not into screen names but it seemed like that's what the powers that be wanted.

I was waiting for someone to post the crazy/hot scale. There are damn near no exceptions. Conversations about hair stylists, teachers, nurses, and, of course, strippers are not for this forum. However, my comment about damn near no exceptions applies here, too.
Not like I have a ton of experience, but ...........

  22. Funny part is I can't use that story to warn my nephews. Despite the crazy part at the time I was feral like I said. And the entire time I was having a ball. And it comes out like a fun war story like when I talk about out running gumballs for fun lol

I think everyone in my family has the same nickname ... "Tuck" from our last name Tuckner. So when my brother and I get together it causes some confusion... but I was born first so...

Nothing like Oneball's story. I just gave up trying to find an 8 Ball to steal. Since my pickup has a Jimmy 6 I grabbed a 6 Ball. I did know a kid back in Texas who claimed to have 3 balls, may be he was sorta; nuts.

  26. Mine is pretty boring & pretty simple.

When I changed from advertising the Transporting Business in Hemmings to advertising online for the 1st time in '06 I decided right away that I wanted Everyone to know exactly who they were dealing with, so my company name is my handle on EVERY one of the forums I am on. I didn't want it to look like I was hiding by using different handles on different forums, so it would be harder to research my reputation. Just always thought it was the right thing to do!

    God Bless

    Part 2:
I was born Ronald but called Ronnie since Birth.
One older Sister 8 years my senior was kinda' teasing me about my name saying" are you going to always call yourself Ronnie?" I was in the 2nd grade.
So I started signing my School work Ron.

My Second Grade teacher Mrs. Carmichael noticed right away this change.
She approached my desk one day and inquired about the change and I explained.
She said , "well, this would be cool!(or somthing like that) and took her red pen and added another N to my name.
I honestly thought I was supposed to write my name that way ,She was my Teacher!

    Been doing it ever since.
